SOD is Severity, Occurrence, and Detection. These are ranking parameters, required to calculate the risk during the FMEA process. SODs created here in the settings section will be populated to FMEAs while creating data in FMEA.

SOD - Main Page

In the Configuration section on selecting the Settings tab and in the Choose field on choosing the SOD option, the SOD main page will appear. The SOD main page will have the following,

  • A Create button to create SOD.
  • The list of created SODs will be displayed.
  • On selecting any SOD the following details will appear : Severity, Occurrence, and Detection.



Create - SOD

To create SOD follow the steps given below:
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field select SOD.


Step 3 : In the SOD screen, click on the Create button.



Step 4 : In the "Create SOD" screen that appears, fill in all the details and click on the Submit button. The SOD will be created.

After creating the SOD, the Severity, Occurrence and Detection can be added in the Created SOD page by clicking on the Add icon corresponding to Severity, Occurrence, and Detection.

Step 5 : Click on the Add icon corresponding to the Severity or Occurrence or Detection and add the respective data.


One can also upload images for Severity, Occurrence, and Detection by choosing the file and clicking on the upload button.



Edit SOD

To edit SOD follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field select SOD.
Step 3 : Now from the list of SODs that appear, select the SOD you need to Edit.
Step 4 : Click on the settings icon and select the Edit option.


Step 5 : In the Edit screen that appears, make the required changes and click on the Submit button. The SOD will be edited.



Delete SOD

To delete SOD follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field select SOD.
Step 3 : Now from the list of SODs that appear select the SOD you need to delete.
Step 4 : Click on the settings icon and select the Delete option.

Step 5 : In the Delete screen that appears click on the Delete button.

The selected SOD will be removed.
