Action Needed


Action Needed is the parameter which recommends whether action needs to be taken in an FMEA based on the Action Priority and Error Proof Level. Action Needed will be configured in the Configuration section of the plugin so that it will auto populate in the FMEA while creating data in a FMEA.

Action Needed - Main Page

On choosing the Action Needed option from the Choose field in the Settings section, the Action Needed screen will appear. The Action Needed main page will have the following,

  • A Create button to create Action Needed.
  • The List of already created Action Needed.
  • The settings icon in the Action Needed table will have the options Edit, Import Data and Delete.




Create Action Needed


To create Action Needed, follow the steps given below:
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field select Action Needed.

Step 3 : In the Action Needed screen, click on the Create button.


Step 4 : In the Create screen that appears, fill in all the details and click on the Submit button. The Action Needed will be created.


Step 5 : In the created Action Needed, you can add the Action Needed values by clicking on the Add icon in the table.



Edit Action Needed


To Edit Action Needed, follow the steps given below:
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field select Action Needed.
Step 3 : Select the Action Needed you need to edit.
Step 4 : Click on the settings icon and select the Edit option.


Step 5 : In the Edit screen that appears, make the required changes and click on the Submit button. The Action Needed will be updated.



Delete Action Needed


To delete Action Needed follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field select Action Needed.
Step 3 : Select the Action Needed you need to delete.
Step 4 : Click on the settings icon and select the delete option.


Step 5 : In the delete screen that appears click on the delete button.

The selected Action Needed will be removed.


Import Data to Action Needed


To import Action Needed follow the steps below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the Choose field select Action Needed.
Step 3 : Select the Action Needed in which you want to import data.
Step 4 : Click on the Settings icon and select the Import Data option.



Step 5 : In the Import Screen that appears upload a CSV file in which you have the data to import and click on the Next button.


Step 6 : The next screen that appears is the field mapping stage, where the respective CSV fields can be mapped with the Action Needed fields. After mapping the fields, click on the Next button.


Step 7 : Next stage will be the result stage which will show the Import Summary. The Import Summary can be exported by clicking on the Export option present.


After checking the Import Summary, click on the Done button. The Action Needed will be imported.



Export Action Needed data

The data from an Action Needed table can be exported. To Export data from an Action Needed table follow the steps below.
Step 1 : Go to the Configurations section and select the Settings tab.
Step 2 : In the choose dropdown field, select Action Needed.
Step 3 : Select the Action Needed you need to export data.
Step 4 : In the Action Needed table, click on the Export icon present and select Export as CSV option. The File will be exported.
