FMEA Templates Main Page

The FMEA main page screen will have the following,

• A Create button to create a new FMEA.
• A Quick Search box to search the created FMEAs from the list of FMEAs.
• List of FMEAs created if any.

Create FMEA Template

To create FMEA Template follow the steps given below,
Step 1: Go to the Configuration section and select the FMEA tab.
Step 2: Click on the Create button.


Step 3 : In the create screen that appears fill in the Name and Description.


Now select the Category Type

• On selecting PFMEA in the Category Type, the "Choose Screens for option" will display the following options to Choose screens.
  • Summary
  • Process Step
  • Micro Process Step
  • Potential Failure Mode
  • Potential Failure Cause
  • Action Items
  • SOD
  • AP
  • Error Proof Level
  • Action Needed.

• In the Create FMEA Screen, on selecting DFMEA in the Category Type, the "Choose Screens for" option will display the following options to Choose screens.
  • Summary
  • System
  • Sub System
  • Potential Failure Mode
  • Potential Failure Cause
  • Action Items
  • SOD
  • AP
  • Error Proof Level
  • Action Needed

 

Step 4 : Now add Screens to FMEA by choosing screens for the respective fields.Click on the Choose option and select the screen from the Select Screen that appears and click on the Add button.


Step 5 : Now click on the Submit button. The FMEA Template will be added.

Edit FMEA Template

To edit any FMEA Template follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configuration section and select the FMEA tab.
Step 2 : Select the required FMEA Template to edit.
Step 3: Click on the Settings icon and select the Edit option.

Step 4 : In the Edit screen that appears make the required changes and click on the Submit button. 
The FMEA Template will be edited.

Copy FMEA Template

To Copy any FMEA Template follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configuration section and select the FMEA tab.
Step 2 : Select the required FMEA Template to copy.
Step 3: Click on the Settings icon and select the Copy option.


Step 4 : In the Copy screen that appears fill in the required name for the template and click on the Submit button.

The FMEA Template will be copied.

Delete FMEA Template

To delete any FMEA Template follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configuration section and select the FMEA tab.
Step 2 : Select the required FMEA Template to delete.
Step 3: Click on the Settings icon and select the Delete option.

Step 4 : In the Delete screen that appears, click on the Delete button.

The FMEA Template will be deleted.

Make Active/Inactive FMEA Template

If an FMEA Template is made inactive then it cannot be used while creating any FMEA.
To make active or inactive any FMEA Template follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Configuration section and select the FMEA tab.
Step 2 : Select the required FMEA Template to make it inactive or active.
Step 3: Click on the Settings icon and select the Make Inactive/Active option. If the template is active then Make Inactive option will appear to make it Inactive and if the template is Inactive then Make active option will appear to make it active.


On clicking the Make Inactive/Active option the template the template status will be changed accordingly.
