Fields - Main Page

  • On clicking the Fields tab in the main page, the Fields main screen will appear.
  • The Fields main page will have the list of all created fields and App fields with the details like, Name, Description, Type, Options, and Added by fields.
  • The screen will also have an Actions icon corresponding to each field under the Actions Column. This Icon will have the options like Edit, Delete, Add Bulk Options and Edit Options.
  • The Add New Field button will be present on the screen, which can be used to create new fields.
  • The search bar is present to search any data across the screen.

App Fields

  • The App Fields are Fields already present in the App. These fields cannot be edited or deleted. The App fields can be mapped to the FMEA Templates. The App Fields present in the Risk Manager plugin are,

Add New Field


To Add new fields follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Fields section in the Configuration section.
Step 2 : Click on the + Add Field button.

Step 3 : On the Add Field screen that appears, fill in the details and select the Field Type.

Step 4 : Click on the Save button. If you click on the Create Another button before clicking the Save button, the screen will remain the same to create next Field after saving the current Field just created.

The new field will be created and it will appear in the Fields list in the main page.

  • On the Add Field Screen, the Field Type Single Select dropdown box will show all the Field Types supported.

Add Field - Adding Options for Single Select and Multiselect Field Types

  • On selecting Field Types like Single Select or Multiple Select Field, the Add Options Box with an Add button will appear in the Add Field screen.
  • In the Add Options box one can enter the required options for the field to be created and click on the Add button so that the field options will be added.
  • On clicking the Save button the field will be created with the given options.

Options for Fields

Options for Select Fields (Single Select and Multiple Select)


  • For Fields with options to select, the Actions icon under the Actions column will show options: Edit, Edit Options, Add Bulk Options, and Delete.

Edit Fields

To edit the fields follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Fields section and select the Actions icon corresponding to the Field you need to edit.
Step 2 : Click on the Edit option.

Step 3 : On the Edit screen that appears make the required changes and click on the Save button.

The selected Field will be edited.


Edit Options (for Single Select and Multiple Select Fields)


To edit the field options follow the steps given below,
Step 1 : Go to the Fields section and select the Actions icon corresponding to the Field you need to edit the options.
Step 2 : Click on the "Edit Options" option.

The Edit Options screen will appear. The Edit Options Screen will have the following,

    • "Add New Options" Field and Add button - In the "Add New Options" field one can enter the new options and click on the Add Button to add new options.
    • Edit icon - Edit icon will be present corresponding to each option. It is used to edit the existing options.
    • Delete icon - Delete icon will be present corresponding to each option. It is used to delete the existing options.On trying to delete any option that is used in FMEA, then a warning message will be shown.
    • Enable/Disable button - It is used to Enable or Disable the options
    • Reorder Fields icon - Reorder the fields by dragging and dropping the reorder icon present near the field options.



Step 3 : In the Edit Options screen that appears make the required changes and click on the Done button. The options will be edited.

Add Bulk Options

For Fields with options to select bulk options can be added. Bulk options can be added by clicking on the Actions icon and selecting the "Add Bulk Options" option.
To add bulk options follow the steps below,
Step 1 : Go to Fields. Select the Actions icon corresponding to the field for which you need to add the bulk options.
Step 2 : Select the "Add Bulk Options" option.

Step 3 : In the Add Bulk Options screen that appears add the required options line by line and click on the Done button. The bulk options will be added to the field.

Delete Fields

To delete the Fields, follow the steps below.
Step 1 : Go to Fields. Select the Actions icon corresponding to the field you need to delete.
Step 2: Select the Delete option.

Step 3 : On clicking the Delete Option, the Delete Field screen will appear for confirming the Delete operation. In the Delete Field screen click on the Delete button.
